Seo Gyo-rim, who has emerged as a dominant force on the KLPGA Tour, closely pursued the leader by a single stroke in the third round of the KG Ladies Open, setting her sights on a monumental record of three consecutive wins.

Last week, Seo clinched her second straight victory by winning the major KLPGA Championship after an overtime battle with rival Kim Min-sol.

As of the second round yesterday (August 28), she was tied for 18th place, five strokes behind the leader.

However, she charged into the top tier during the third round.

With sharp iron shots and successful mid-range putts that proved challenging, she shaved four strokes off her score.

Placing tied for fifth—just one stroke behind four co-leaders including Noh Seung-hee—Seo has brought her fifth victory of the season and a historic fourth "three consecutive wins" record within reach, following in the footsteps of Pak Se-ri, Kim Mi-hyun, and Seo Hee-kyung.
