Police are investigating a man who was caught driving without a license after drug syringes were found inside his vehicle.

The Seoul Dongdaemun Police Station announced that it has apprehended a man in his 30s, surnamed A, on charges including violations of the Narcotics Control Act and driving without a license.

A is accused of driving without a license for about 17 kilometers from Gangdong-gu to Seongdong-gu in Seoul at around 11:20 a.m. on the 27th.

Police responding to a report searched A's vehicle and discovered syringes used for administering drugs.

A preliminary drug screening test conducted on A by the police reportedly returned a positive result.

Police, who placed A under arrest yesterday, plan to investigate the specific details of the crime.
