Rain clouds are currently passing through areas south of Chungcheong Province.

Heavy rain is falling at a rate of around 15mm per hour in South Jeolla and South Gyeongsang provinces.

Today (August 29), Seoul will see a relatively small amount of rain between 5 and 10mm, but Chungcheong and Honam regions will receive up to 80mm of rain.

Also, many areas will experience lulls in the precipitation today.

However, the rain will intensify starting early tomorrow morning.

Between tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, residents must be cautious of heavy and intense downpours, with over 200mm expected in South Chungcheong, and locally over 100 to 150mm in other parts of Chungcheong and Honam regions.

Additionally, sporadic showers are expected to pass through Seoul, Incheon, northern Gyeonggi Province, and northern Gangwon Province until this afternoon.

Daytime temperatures will rise up to 32°C (90°F) in Gwangju and Ulsan.

Temperatures will gradually drop as the rain continues.
