Late last night (August 27) in Gangnam, Seoul, an imported car crashed into a motorcycle and other vehicles in succession, leaving a delivery worker in his 50s dead and three others injured. The driver was heavily intoxicated.

An intersection in Seocho-gu, Seoul, late last night.

Shortly after the traffic light turned green, a white car speeds past through vehicles driving straight.

This happened after the car rear-ended a motorcycle being driven by a delivery worker in his 50s.

Due to the impact of the crash, the motorcycle rider was thrown onto the sidewalk, and a pedestrian hurriedly dove out of the way.

This was the scene around 11:40 PM when a luxury imported car driven by a driver in his 40s, identified as A, struck a motorcycle and then went on to crash into two passenger cars and a taxi.

After hitting the motorcycle at this location, driver A did not stop until driving about 80 meters further.

It was confirmed that the impact of the collision also caused the taxi to crash into a city bus ahead of it.

The motorcycle rider, a man in his 50s, was rushed to the hospital in cardiac arrest but ultimately died.

[Witness: You can only see about half of the motorcycle left on the crosswalk. It was smashed to pieces. There was no person. But over there on the flower bed, he fell after going out toward the road...]

Three others, including the taxi driver, a bus passenger, and a pedestrian, were also injured and taken to the hospital.

Police arrested driver A at the scene, and it was determined that A was heavily intoxicated at a level warranting license revocation at the time.

Police plan to apply for an arrest warrant for driver A after conducting additional investigations into whether driving under the influence of drugs was involved.
