The wake for the late Mr. Chang has been set up in Jeju. Remembering Mr. Chang, who returned to his family 106 days after being reported missing, the bereaved family criticized the police's actions, stating they cannot be forgiven.

The wake for Mr. Chang, who was found dead 104 days after his family filed a missing person report with the police, has been prepared at a hospital in Jeju City.

Guarding the wake with heavy expressions, the bereaved family recalled, "Mr. Chang had a kind heart, always happy to help others but reluctant to ask for help himself."

Stating that they hope Mr. Chang's death is no longer sensationalized, the bereaved family demanded a thorough investigation, emphasizing that they cannot forgive Police Inspector Boo of the Jeju Seobu Police Station, who is accused of arbitrarily closing the family's missing person report.

[Bereaved family member of Mr. Chang: Why, why, why did he do it? That's what we are most curious about. Exactly why? We can't help but ask why. It had nothing to do with his performance record, so why go this far...]

Expressing anger that went beyond an individual deviation by Inspector Boo, they also criticized the police system, which allowed a missing person case to be buried by a single investigator.

[Bereaved family member of Mr. Chang: I think I have completely lost trust in the missing persons investigation team. It is a system worse than any small-to-medium enterprise or even a tiny mom-and-pop store.]

In front of Mr. Chang's body, which had been left neglected for over 100 days, the family urged comprehensive measures to ensure that such an incident never happens again.

[Bereaved family member of Mr. Chang: They say they do dual-approvals now, but since things have turned out this way, I hope they thoroughly review everything and fix the system properly from the ground up.]

The funeral procession for Mr. Chang will be held in the morning.
