Kim Ha-seong of the Atlanta Braves in Major League Baseball, who had been in a severe slump and sidelined from games for 10 days, has made a dramatic turnaround.

He decorated his first hit in a staggering 84 days as a pinch-hit walk-off single.

Atlanta had a golden opportunity in the bottom of the eighth inning with one out and the bases loaded in a 5-5 tie against the Dodgers, but they were left lamenting their bad luck.

A hard-hit ball deflected off the glove of Dodgers shortstop Betts, and by coincidence, it rolled toward second base, resulting in a double play that squandered the chance.

In the bottom of the ninth with two outs and runners on first and second, Kim Ha-seong stepped up as a pinch hitter.

Getting his first playing opportunity in 11 days, Kim pulled a 156 km/h fastball from Dodgers closer Scott for a game-winning RBI single to left field, sending the home fans into a frenzy.

Kim, who celebrated his first hit in 84 days with the second walk-off hit of his big league career, shared the joy with his teammates and was drenched with water during a celebratory interview.
