Half a year has passed since the outbreak of the Iran War. As peace negotiations stalled, the U.S. has pulled out the economic sanctions card—the so-called "economic ostracization strategy." Under a plan to impose strong secondary sanctions on companies and countries trading with Iran, we asked Dr. Cho Han-bum, a senior research fellow at the Korea Institute for National Unification, whether this strategy will work. Dr. Cho's response was that the U.S. should have taken this approach from the beginning. So, does this mean an end to the Iran War is finally in sight?
