The People Power Party has filed election nullification lawsuits regarding races such as the Seoul mayoral election, following issues involving shortages of ballot papers and suspended voting during the June 3 local elections.

This follows through on the party's prior warning of follow-up legal actions after the National Election Commission dismissed the party's election petitions.

The party's Legal Advisory Committee announced that it is filing a total of 10 lawsuits today (the 27th), which include six metropolitan mayoral and proportional representative regional council elections for Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon, as well as four elections related to Songpa District.

Among them, lawsuits for a total of six elections, including two for the Seoul mayor and the Seoul Metropolitan Council proportional representation, as well as the Gyeonggi and Incheon regions, were submitted to the Supreme Court this morning.

The party stated that the four Songpa District lawsuits will be sequentially submitted to the jurisdiction's high court by tomorrow, the 28th, which is the filing deadline.

Previously, the National Election Commission and regional election commissions dismissed all 122 election petitions filed by the People Power Party on the grounds that "the shortage of ballot papers and suspension of voting cannot be seen as having affected the election results."
