Actor Hong Min-gi has taken legal action against his ex-girlfriend, referred to as A, who has previously made allegations including dating violence and pressure to undergo an abortion.

On August 27, his agency, Fable Company, stated, "Regarding a series of recent actions by A, Hong Min-gi filed a criminal complaint with investigative authorities on August 21 and August 24 against A for forgery of private documents, attempted extortion, defamation under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc., and violation of the Act on Punishments, etc. of Stalking Crimes."

Previously, A claimed that she was assaulted by Hong Min-gi during their relationship and pressured to get an abortion. In response, Hong Min-gi's side completely denied the allegations and countered that A had engaged in stalking behavior, such as visiting his home.

The agency also shared specific details regarding a recent disturbance incident. A reportedly visited Hong Min-gi's home in the early hours of August 23 and caused a disturbance. In response to this, an individual claiming to be A's older brother had previously appeared and denied the claims.

The agency stated, "Around 2 a.m. on August 23, A visited Hong Min-gi's Itaewon home once again, ringing the doorbell, crying loudly, and shouting curses. The police were dispatched that day, and upon the police's request for joint response with 119, A was ultimately transported by ambulance," confirming that the early morning disturbance actually took place.

They added, "Following the Act on Punishments, etc. of Stalking Crimes, the police also issued orders against A on that day prohibiting her from approaching within 100 meters and from approaching via telecommunications."

Hong Min-gi's side added, "We plan to faithfully cooperate with future investigative procedures, and the substantial truth and legal responsibility of this case will be clearly revealed through the investigation. Until the truth is brought to light through the objective investigation and decision of the investigative agencies, we ask you to refrain from making hasty judgments on unverified claims or recklessly expanding and reproducing content different from the facts."

Amid sharply conflicting claims from both sides, attention is focused on whether the full investigation getting underway will uncover the truth behind the incident.
