Massive flooding in Nepal has left nine South Koreans out of contact and ten awaiting rescue. The death toll has been confirmed at 160 so far.

2. "10,000 Swept Away"... Government and Companies Dispatch Rapid Response Teams

Locals report that because villages were clustered in a narrow terrain, 10,000 people were swept away by torrential currents in an instant. The South Korean government and domestic companies are dispatching rapid response teams to the site today (August 27).

3. "Believed Dead the Day After Disappearance"... Police Tell Lies to "Close the Case"

Police announced that Jang Mi-ran is believed to have died in the early hours of the day after she left her accommodation in May. They added that the possibility of death due to a criminal act appears low.

4. Yongsan and Seoul Greenbelts Excluded from Announcement; Tancheon Under "Review"

Amid a failure to narrow differences between the government and the Seoul Metropolitan Government, additional housing supply measures are not expected to include Yongsan Park or greenbelts in Seoul. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport decided to review the proposal to utilize the Tancheon Water Reclamation Center suggested by Mayor Oh as an alternative site.
