A two-year-old child, identified as A, fell from a window at a daycare center in Cheoin-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, at around 11:50 a.m. yesterday (August 26).

Child A fell about 5 meters onto a wooden deck below, sustaining bleeding in the mouth and abrasions on the arm, and was transported to a hospital.

Police have secured a witness statement indicating that the child fell through a window left open for ventilation and are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.

Police plan to review whether to apply charges of professional negligence resulting in injury against the person in charge after investigating potential lax supervision.
