Arrest Warrant Sought for Chinese University Lecturer Who Killed Chinese Exchange Student

▲ A suspect in his 20s involved in the murder of a Chinese exchange student is being escorted to the Gyeongsan Police Station in Gyeongsangbuk-do around 11:50 p.m. on the 25th.

The Gyeongsan Police Station in Gyeongsangbuk-do announced on the 26th that it has requested an arrest warrant for a Chinese university lecturer, A, on charges of murdering a Chinese graduate student.

A is suspected of murdering a Chinese graduate student, B, and mutilating the body at A's studio apartment in Hayang-eup, Gyeongsan, on the 20th.

A is also facing charges of filing a false report claiming that his girlfriend had gone missing the day after the crime in an attempt to disrupt the police investigation.

According to the investigation, A wore women's clothing after the crime, took a taxi to Dongdaegu Station, turned off victim B's cell phone near the station, and then changed back into men's clothing.

Police are continuing their investigation into the exact motives and circumstances behind the crime.
