U.S. President Donald Trump stated on the 26th (local time) regarding the recent covert visit to Russia by CIA Director John Ratcliffe that "something could come out of it now."

During a phone interview with the conservative radio show "The Glenn Beck Program" that day, President Trump made the remark and added, "We are working very hard to end that war (the war in Ukraine), and frankly, both of them (Russia and Ukraine) want it to end at this point."

Addressing various rumors—such as speculations that the CIA Director's visit was intended to test NATO's resolve regarding the war, or even that Russia might attack the U.K., or that it was meant to signal U.S. resolve regarding recent sanctions on Iran—President Trump denied them all, saying, "None of that is true."

He continued, "His (the CIA Director's) being there is sort of a semi-regular schedule," and emphasized that the purpose of the visit was related to ending the war by stating, "We want the war in Ukraine to end."

Regarding the war involving Iran, President Trump repeated claims such as "We will have a big victory very soon" and "The war will end pretty quickly because the Strait of Hormuz is open."

He said regarding Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, "I don't think he's dead. I think he was very seriously wounded, but not dead."

Concerning the trade war involving high tariffs with Canada, President Trump made it clear he would not back down, stating, "Now is the time to teach Canada that they can no longer do things this way. We are losing $60 billion annually, and even much more than that, in trade with Canada."
