Taegeuk Warriors asked fans visiting the arenas in Nagoya to run alongside them with the hearts of the athletes.
[Do Gyeong-dong / Fencing National Team : When a South Korean athlete makes an appeal, if the fans shout along with us, the referees might psychologically waver and lean in our favor.]
[Park Hye-jeong / Weightlifting National Team : When the South Korean athletes' names are introduced, fans can shout out to gain a psychological upper hand over athletes from other countries.]
They drew a firm line against cheering that could break their concentration, bringing laughter.
[Kwak Yoon-gy / Nagoya Away Cheering Squad : Our cheering might turn out to be a bit cute, would that be okay?]
[Park Hye-jeong / Weightlifting National Team : That probably won't do.]
They also shared tips for viewers watching from home.
[Oh Sang-uk / Fencing National Team : There is a sign we do in fencing like this. This is a gesture acknowledging that 'I lost this point.' If you just look at this gesture to tell whether we won or lost first, you might look like a true fencing expert, so I wanted to share this tip.]
After even revealing their secret superstitions,
[Do Gyeong-dong / Fencing National Team : I always wear matched underwear for matches, and this is a secret, but I've shared it.]
The athletes all vowed to make the South Korean flag fly high in the skies of Nagoya.
[Hwang Sun-woo / Swimming National Team : My biggest goal is to break the Asian record and climb to the highest podium.]
