Soyeon of the group (G)I-DLE has deeply touched fans by capturing her life story from her newborn days to the present in an intro film for her first solo full-length album.
On August 26 at midnight, her agency Cube Entertainment released the intro film for Soyeon's 1st full-length album "Awesome Life" through (G)I-DLE's (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, Shuhua) official social media channels. The video added special significance as it was released on Soyeon's birthday.
The intro film began with Soyeon, who is celebrating her last birthday in her 20s, looking back on her life so far and saying, "I can say it's been an awesome life." Afterward, Soyeon's timeline unfolded sequentially, starting from her newborn days right after birth, her first birthday party, her trainee days, her appearance on Mnet's "Produce 101," (G)I-DLE's debut and producing, up to the present as she prepares for her first solo full-length album. In particular, brief phrases such as "I always wanted to be new" and "I wanted to do better" appeared throughout the video, revealing Soyeon's mindset of growing each time and taking on new musical challenges.
Regarding her first solo full-length album, Soyeon shared, "Actually, I think I've put it off for quite a long time," adding, "One thing I can tell you is that when I become a grandmother and look back on this album, I'll probably think, 'Ah, it was truly romantic.' Please look forward a lot to 'Awesome Life.'"

Fans are also showing an enthusiastic response to the video, which encompasses her entire life from the moment she was born to her debut and the present.
One fan wrote in the comments, "I think because unnie made the music she wanted to make without caring about other people's gazes, Neverland (fandom name) was able to experience such a diverse range of music." Another fan reacted by saying, "I was about to tear up, but then I burst out laughing." In addition, messages of celebration and support poured in, such as "You've worked really hard. Let's soar, Soyeon," "Happy last birthday in your 20s, and I hope only happy things fill your future," and "No matter what anyone says, Soyeon is an awesome person."

Previously, Soyeon signaled the start of her comeback by performing two new songs for the first time at the "Waterbomb Sokcho 2026" stage, including "STAR," which features an intense EDM sound and straightforward lyrics, and "I Hate Vegetables," which stands out with its cute and highly addictive melody.
Soyeon's first solo full-length album, "Awesome Life," will be released on various online music sites at 6 p.m. on September 7.
