It has been confirmed that a man in his 30s of Chinese nationality, surnamed Jeong, who was arrested on charges including murder for killing a female Chinese exchange student in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province, moved to Dongdaegu Station immediately after the crime while wearing women's clothing and concealing his face.
Today (the 26th), the Gyeongsan Police Station in North Gyeongsang Province confirmed through CCTV footage that Jeong entered his residence with the victim at around 2 p.m. on the 20th.
It was reported that no footage showed Jeong forcefully dragging the victim as the two entered the residence.
According to the investigation, Jeong later left the residence alone, wearing women's clothing and hiding his face with a hat and other items.
He traveled to Dongdaegu Station, and it was ascertained that he turned off the victim's mobile phone at a certain point.
Police also confirmed that Jeong, after moving to Dongdaegu Station, changed his clothes in a nearby restroom and returned to his residence.
Believing that Jeong took these actions to disrupt the investigation, police are also reviewing the application of charges for obstruction of official duties.
A police official stated, "Considering that he deceived the police in the early stages of the case, we plan to apply charges of obstructing official duties."
