Complaints have been pouring in recently from consumers who purchased ice water purifiers to enjoy cool ice, only to find them infested with mold. Critics point out that this stems from the structural design of ice water purifiers that produce and store ice, but the bigger issue is that it is difficult for consumers to terminate their contracts without penalty even when discovering such mold-ridden units.
We examine whether there are any problems with how companies are responding to consumer complaints.
