The identity of Kim Sang-soo (52), the suspect in the Seongnam stalking retaliation murder case, was disclosed today.
Kim is accused of fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend with a weapon as she returned home in a residential area of Jungwon-gu, Seongnam, in the early hours of July 5. At the time, Kim had been reported for stalking and was awaiting a summary indictment by the prosecution.
This "ex-girlfriend stalking murder" is reminiscent of the crime committed by Kim Hoon earlier this year in the "Namyangju stalking murder case." Why was the victim's life once again not saved despite reports of stalking? We take a closer look.
