A man accused of assaulting another participant at a vote-counting station protest site inside the Handball Gymnasium at Seoul Olympic Park has avoided arrest.

The Seoul Eastern District Court dismissed the arrest warrant for a man in his 50s, identified as A, who faces assault charges, after holding a pre-trial suspect interrogation today (the 25th), stating that it is "difficult to acknowledge any risk of destroying evidence or fleeing."

A is suspected of committing assault, such as grabbing the back of the neck of another participant with whom he was in a conflict, at around 9:30 PM on the 22nd at the protest site outside the Handball Gymnasium.

Police arrested A at the scene on the 22nd and subsequently requested an arrest warrant.
