A former police officer in his 50s has been urgently arrested for murdering his estranged wife.

Jeju Seogwipo Police Station announced that they urgently arrested a man in his 50s, identified as A, who was located somewhere in Gyeonggi Province, early this morning on charges of murdering a woman in her 50s who was found stabbed to death at her home in Seogwipo yesterday evening (August 24).

It was reported that a restraining order was in effect against A regarding the woman at the time of the crime.

Police stated that A has admitted to the crime and that they plan to investigate the motive behind the murder.
