It has been confirmed that a man in his 20s, who was arrested for disguising himself with a short-cut wig and sneaking into the women's changing room at the Caribbean Bay water park to illegally film victims, is also under investigation for allegedly groping a woman in the wave pool.

According to the Yongin Dongbu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province today (August 25), the suspect, identified as A, is being investigated under additional charges of forcible indecency, alongside existing charges of violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes (using cameras for illegal filming and intrusion into places used by multiple people for sexual purposes).

A is accused of committing an indecent act on August 1 by touching a woman's buttocks in the wave pool at Caribbean Bay in Everland, Yongin.

He was caught on the spot by a Caribbean Bay employee following a report from the victim, and police dispatched to the scene officially received the case and completed initial response procedures.

It was revealed that A audaciously revisited Caribbean Bay and committed this offense just two days after fleeing upon being caught trespassing in the women's changing room earlier.

On July 30, at around 4:40 PM, A wandered around the women's changing room at Caribbean Bay while hiding his face with a hat, mask, and sunglasses, raising suspicion among visitors. When an employee asked for his ID, he immediately fled.

Police received a report on the day of the incident and launched an investigation, eventually apprehending A at his home in Seoul on August 21, about 20 days later.

According to the investigation, A is found to have secretly entered the women's changing room at Caribbean Bay on July 17 and July 30, using a small camera to illegally film women changing clothes.

It is reported that A faced no major restrictions when entering the women's changing room as he adopted a gender-neutral appearance, wearing a hat attached with a wavy short-cut wig.

During the arrest, police seized a wristwatch-style illegal filming device, a mobile phone, a laptop, and storage media, which are currently undergoing digital forensics.

The illegally filmed videos found on the storage media are reportedly several short clips lasting a few minutes each.

The full scale of the victimization is expected to be determined based on the forensic results.

So far, there are no indications of accomplices or backers who conspired with A in the crimes.

No circumstances suggesting the distribution of the illegally filmed videos have been found either.

A has stated, "I filmed out of curiosity to watch by myself and did not distribute the videos."

Regarding the forcible indecency incident on August 1, he claimed, "I did not trespass into the women's changing room or engage in illegal filming on that day."

Police are investigating while keeping various possibilities open, taking into account that A meticulously prepared for the crimes in advance.

A police official stated, "We confirmed that the suspect visited Caribbean Bay a total of three times in July and August. While we were focusing on the illegal filming case, we also became aware of the report regarding the forcible indecency charge and initiated a combined investigation."
