The unveiled profiles and a dramatic rule change completely shook up the love lines on "Love Against Time".
On the 4th episode of the SBS romance reality show "Love Against Time" broadcast on August 24, the ages and occupations of eight young adults were revealed for the first time, triggering a massive upheaval in the couple map.
Jung Ye-ji (born in 1998) is a corporate in-house announcer and traffic caster, and Kim Na-young (born in 1994) is an actor and Chinese language instructor. Kim Seon-ho (born in 1999) was revealed to be a firefighter aspirant, while Han Do-gon (born in 1991) is a cafe consultant and model. Seo Robin (born in 2000) is a job seeker in the food marketing field, and Kim Jong-eun (born in 1998) was preparing for re-employment after stepping down as a safety manager.
Notably, the youngest, Kang Min-young (born in 2003), drew attention by appearing as a clothing business CEO driving a supercar, while Kim Ryun-ki (born in 2000) surprised everyone with his twist job as a defense industry researcher developing systems for self-propelled artillery, armored vehicles, and missiles.
The journeys of these cast members advancing toward their dreams after battling illnesses left a deep resonance. Jung Ye-ji pursued her long-felt dream of becoming an announcer after realizing the finiteness of life, and Kim Na-young confessed that she stopped her hearing treatment for filming after passing an audition. Kim Seon-ho dreamed of becoming a firefighter after watching the medical staff who cared for him, and Kim Jong-eun also continued her re-challenge by obtaining five certifications even after leaving her job due to illness.
However, after the profiles were revealed, age gaps and occupational realities began to sway their hearts, and the newly applied "Room of Time" rule (dates are secured when a combined total of 110 minutes or more is met) created a cruel twist of fate. Han Do-gon wrote down 80 minutes and Seo Robin 20 minutes, stopping at a total of 100 minutes, resulting in a heartbreaking situation where they missed a date by just 10 minutes.
The biggest twist exploded between Kim Seon-ho and Jung Ye-ji. Unlike Kim Seon-ho, who allocated his time, Jung Ye-ji went all-in with 100 minutes for Han Do-gon, dramatically securing a date. Left alone in the house, Kim Seon-ho expressed late regret, saying he was "arrogant," and misunderstandings with Jung Ye-ji deepened further.
Amid the gaps of crossed paths, a new vibe was also captured. Seo Robin proposed going out to Kim Seon-ho, who was alone, and delivered a bold, direct shot, saying, "Did you know your smile is really pretty?" raising expectations for the future romance trajectory to its peak.
"Love Against Time," which unfolds an unpredictable, genuine reality romance, airs every Monday at 10:10 PM.
