It has belatedly been learned that a nurse saved another person's life while attending her own family member's funeral.

Last month at a funeral hall in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do, a man suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed.

Ju Seo-ri, a nurse at Haeundae Paik Hospital who happened to be holding a funeral for her family member, spotted him.

Nurse Ju immediately checked the man's condition, determined that cardiopulmonary resuscitation was necessary, asked people nearby to call 119, and began first aid.

Fortunately, the man regained consciousness, and Nurse Ju monitored his condition until the paramedics arrived while also handing over the details of the emergency treatment to the rescue workers.

Nurse Ju even checked on the man's condition again after he returned to the funeral hall following treatment in the emergency room.

This story came to light belatedly when a citizen who witnessed the scene sent a compliment post to the hospital.
