A woman in her 50s has been found murdered in Jeju, prompting a police investigation to track down the suspect.

According to the Seogwipo Police Station today (August 24), the woman, identified as A, was found dead at around 7:00 p.m. at a residence in Namwon-eup, Seogwipo.

Police found signs of foul play, as A was discovered face down on the floor with blood, and are currently investigating the exact circumstances through an on-site forensics inspection.

Police are also working to track down individuals close to A, including her ex-husband.

A's ex-husband is known to be a former police officer.

Investigators are focusing on analyzing CCTV footage from around the crime scene to identify the suspect.

A police official stated, "As the investigation is currently underway, the suspect has not yet been identified."
