Senior Presidential Secretary for Public Relations Kang Yu-jung announced today, "President Lee Jae-myung has accepted the resignation of Minister Jung, who expressed that it is difficult to continue performing his duties due to deteriorating health."
This comes six days after he officially submitted his resignation on the 18th.
