Musical and opera singer Yang Joon-mo, 46, has been confirmed to be remarrying actor Yang Ji-won, 38, formerly of the group SPICA.

On August 24, Yang Joon-mo posted a black-and-white wedding photo showing the back view of himself and his bride on his Instagram, simultaneously announcing his divorce and remarriage. Explaining the delayed news of his divorce, he stated, "After much deliberation, we ended our marriage in 2023 and decided to walk our separate paths," adding that his biggest concern was protecting his young daughter from emotional hurt or unnecessary public attention at the time.

Sharing the news of his marriage, Yang Joon-mo said, "As I was slowly rebuilding my difficult life step by step, there was someone who became a warm source of strength by my side and helped me find my smile again—a person I am so grateful for and love." He continued, "It is such a tremendous blessing to have met someone with whom I can pray together through both joyous and difficult times, and walk forward looking in the same direction."

Although Yang Joon-mo's post did not reveal the identity of his bride-to-be, Yang Ji-won shared news of their marriage and pregnancy through her personal account at the same time, bringing the news to light.

Posting wedding photos with Yang Joon-mo alongside pictures taken with her fellow SPICA members, Yang Ji-won wrote, "We were originally planning to get married early next year, but we were so gratefully blessed with a new life, and I will become a mother next year at the age of 40. That is why we are holding the wedding a little earlier."

Expressing her affection for her groom-to-be, she added, "In some ways we are very different, yet in other ways we have a lot in common. He helps me see things that I might otherwise miss, and by loving this person, I am growing a little more into an adult."

Finally, she asked for warm support, saying, "I am still a bit overwhelmed by the sudden and major changes in life, but I want to learn one by one with a grateful heart and adapt well. Please bless our newly beginning journey."

Yang Joon-mo has built a strong acting career appearing in musicals such as Hero, Notre-Dame de Paris, and The Last Empress, and was appointed as a full-time professor in the Department of Performing Arts and Film at Soonchunhyang University in 2023 to teach students. Yang Ji-won debuted with the girl group SPICA in 2012, transitioned to acting starting with the 2015 drama Divorce Lawyer in Love, and has been active in various projects.
