It has been confirmed that musical actor and opera singer Yang Joon-mo, 46, is remarrying actor Yang Ji-won, 38, formerly of the group SPICA.

On the 24th, Yang Joon-mo posted a black-and-white wedding pictorial showing his back together with his bride on his Instagram, simultaneously announcing his divorce and remarriage. He belatedly shared the news of his divorce, stating, "After much deliberation, I ended my marriage in 2023 and we decided to walk our separate ways." He explained that his biggest concern at the time was protecting his young daughter from emotional hurt or unnecessary public scrutiny.

Announcing his marriage, Yang Joon-mo also said, "As I slowly pieced my difficult life back together, there was someone who became a warm source of strength by my side and helped me find my smile again—a person I am deeply grateful for and love." He added, "It is a tremendous blessing to have met someone with whom I can pray through both joyous and difficult times, and walk forward looking in the same direction."

Although Yang Joon-mo's post did not reveal the identity of his bride-to-be, Yang Ji-won simultaneously shared news of their marriage and pregnancy through her personal account, bringing the news to light.

Sharing wedding pictorials taken with Yang Joon-mo along with photos taken with her fellow SPICA members, Yang Ji-won wrote, "We originally planned to marry early next year, but we were so blessed with a new life that I will become a mother next year at the age of 40. Therefore, we are holding the wedding a bit earlier."

Expressing her affection for her groom-to-be, Yang Ji-won continued, "In some ways, we are very different, yet in other ways, we have a lot in common. By helping me see things that I might have missed, loving him makes me grow into a more mature person step by step."

Finally, she requested, "I am still a bit overwhelmed by these major life changes coming all at once, but I want to learn one by one with a grateful heart and adapt well. Please bless our newly beginning steps."

Yang Joon-mo has built a strong acting career appearing in various musicals and was appointed as a full-time professor in the Department of Performing Arts and Film at Soonchunhyang University in 2023 to teach students. Yang Ji-won debuted with the girl group SPICA in 2012, transitioned to acting starting with the 2015 drama "Divorce Lawyer in Love," and has been active in various projects.
