Group Super Junior member Heechul has donated 100 million won to help neighbors in southern regions, including Geoje and Tongyeong, who suffered severe damage from record-breaking torrential downpours.

The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Lim Chae-chung) announced on the 24th that Heechul donated 100 million won to support neighbors affected by flood damage in the southern regions.

According to reports, Heechul heard the news of the severe flood damage in the Geoje and Tongyeong areas this morning and immediately called the association's main hotline to check the donation account, transferring the 100 million won even before the phone call ended. It was said that there was no delay, to the extent that the transfer was already completed while he was receiving guidance from the association.

He stated, "After seeing the news that the southern region was declared a special disaster zone by the government, I realized that the damage situation was much more serious than I thought. I believe that true donation means taking action right on the spot without hesitation the moment you make up your mind." He added, "I'm sure there are still many people who don't know the details of the damage, and I hope more people will pay attention and gather their hearts together."

He also added, "I hope this brings a little bit of strength to the neighbors affected and the people sweating to restore the area in the scorching heat, and I encourage everyone to keep their spirits up until the end and return to their normal daily lives as soon as possible."

This donation will be used to restore the damaged areas and support the daily recovery of displaced residents.
