Director Yeon Sang-ho is set to hold a conversation with renowned Japanese master director Hirokazu Koreeda at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Director Yeon Sang-ho will have another special schedule at the 51st Toronto International Film Festival, where his film "PARADISE LOST" has been invited. On September 14 at 4:00 PM local time, Director Yeon will attend the official TIFF industry program "TIFF Summit: Dialogues" to hold a conversation with Japan's leading master director Hirokazu Koreeda.
"TIFF Summit: Dialogues" is an industry program presented by the Toronto International Film Festival during the event, bringing together creators and figures leading the global film and content industry—such as directors, writers, actors, and producers—to have in-depth conversations on storytelling, the art of filmmaking, and the creative process. This session is drawing high expectations alongside the news of its formation, bringing together two storytellers who have captivated global audiences with their unique worldviews: Director Yeon Sang-ho and Director Hirokazu Koreeda.
During the conversation, Director Yeon Sang-ho is scheduled to discuss his own original worldview, genre imagination, and the creative process of filmmaking, as well as IP adaptation and expansion, and the ongoing global expansion of Asian cinema.
Previously, Director Yeon Sang-ho was officially invited to the Midnight Screenings section of the 79th Cannes Film Festival in the first half of this year with "COLONY," followed in the second half by his new film "PARADISE LOST" being selected for the Special Presentations section of the Toronto International Film Festival for two consecutive years.
With the world premiere of "PARADISE LOST" also scheduled on-site at this Toronto International Film Festival, coupled with the conversation with Director Hirokazu Koreeda, Director Yeon Sang-ho's schedule in Toronto is expected to be a memorable one.
The new film "PARADISE LOST" will meet audiences in theaters this coming October.
