Apartment move-in volumes nationwide are set to drop by more than 30 percent next month, falling to the 10,000-household level.

According to real estate platform Zigbang today (the 24th), nationwide apartment move-in volumes for September will total 10,184 households, a 30.7 percent decrease from August (14,701 households).

Compared to the same month last year (12,454 households), the figure is down 18.2 percent.

By region, 6,936 households will move in the Seoul metropolitan area, while 3,248 households will move into regional areas.

Move-ins fell by 23.5 percent and 42.4 percent respectively compared to the previous month, showing a sharper decline in regional areas.

Consequently, the proportion of total move-in volumes accounted for by the Seoul metropolitan area will rise from 61.6 percent in August to 68.1 percent in September.

On an annual basis, this year's regional move-in volume is also projected at 88,161 households, down 31.3 percent from last year (128,301 households).

During the same period, move-in volumes in the Seoul metropolitan area will decrease by 20.6 percent from 113,749 households to 90,325 households.

By region, 3,478 households are scheduled to move into Seoul.

They include D-H Bangbae (3,064 households), a reconstruction project in Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu.

Gangbyeon Station Central I'Park in Gwangjin-gu (215 households) and Bomun Central I'Park in Seongbuk-gu (199 households) are also preparing for move-ins.

Gyeonggi Province will see 3,332 households move across 5 complexes, including Songnae Station Prugio Centbien in Bucheon (1,045 households), e-Pyunhan World Shingok Signature View in Uijeongbu (815 households), and Hoecheon Jungang Station Daegwang Rosé-vient in Yangju (621 households).

In Incheon, Junghwang Heights Galsan Station Central (126 households) in Bupyeong-gu is scheduled for move-in.

In regional areas, Changwon Central I'Park in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do (1,509 households) is the largest scale.

It is followed by Chuncheon Atera The First in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do (543 households) and Asan Shinchang 1st Gwangshin Progress in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do (450 households).

With a monthly average of about 14,700 households scheduled to move in from October to December for the rest of the year, move-in volumes are expected to rebound starting from September as the lowest point.

In particular, Zigbang projected that the increase in lease and jeonse listings around the timing of large complex move-ins, such as D-H Bangbae, could impact the surrounding rental market.
