San Francisco Giants' South Korean outfielder Lee Jung-hoo fell silent in Major League Baseball (MLB).

Starting as the sixth-hitter and right fielder in an away game against the Boston Red Sox for the 2026 MLB regular season held at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts, Lee went 0-for-4 with no hits.

His season batting average dropped to 0.289.

He struggled in the three-game series against Boston, recording 1 hit in 11 at-bats.

Lee was retired on a flyout in the 1st inning, a groundout in the 3rd, a flyout in the 6th, and a groundout in the 9th.

San Francisco failed to protect an early 3-0 lead, suffering a 5-4 comeback loss and extending their losing streak to four games.

Meanwhile, Jermaine Jones (Boston), who played alongside Lee wearing the Taegeukgi (South Korean national flag) at the World Baseball Classic (WBC) in March of this year, performed well with two hits.

Playing as the leadoff designated hitter, Jones hit a single in his first plate appearance in the 1st inning, and hit a leadoff triple in the 3rd inning, eventually scoring a run.

Jones' season stats stand at a .217 batting average, 4 home runs, and 13 RBIs.
