A passenger car driving through an intersection in Songjeong-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, collided with the side of a city bus at around 6:07 p.m. yesterday (August 23).

Fortunately, there were no casualties.

After the accident, a fire broke out in the passenger car, prompting a nearby restaurant owner to extinguish the flames with a fire extinguisher and evacuate the driver from the vehicle.

Police have determined that neither the bus driver nor the car driver was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and are currently investigating the exact cause of the accident.
