Sweltering Heat Continues Despite Cheoseo... Showers in Parts of the Country

Despite Cheoseo, the seasonal term indicating that the heat is subsiding, hot and humid weather is set to continue with showers falling across various parts of the country.

Rainfall of 5 to 40 mm is expected in western Jeollanam-do and Jeju Island until the afternoon, and between 5 and 40 mm from afternoon to evening in southern and northeastern Gyeonggi Province, Gangwon Province, Chungcheongnam-do, western Jeollabuk-do, and western Gyeongsangnam-do.

Up to 30 mm of rain is forecast for Gwangju, western Jeollanam-do, and western Gyeongsangnam-do.

Citizens are advised to take precautions as the showers may be accompanied by gusty winds, thunder, and lightning.

Morning lows will range from 22°C to 26°C (72°F to 79°F), while daytime highs will fluctuate between 31°C and 36°C (88°F to 97°F).
