Magnitude 2.2 Earthquake Strikes East of Seogwipo, Jeju; No Damage Expected: KMA

A magnitude 2.2 earthquake occurred in the waters 79 kilometers east of Seogwipo, Jeju, at 1:44:38 AM today (August 23), according to the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA).

The epicenter is located at 33.27 degrees north latitude and 127.41 degrees east longitude.

The KMA stated that there are no expected damages from the earthquake.
