At around 12:15 p.m. today (August 22), a 1-ton truck driven by a person in their 30s, identified as A, struck a police patrol car that had stopped in the second lane to handle a vehicle breakdown report on a road in Seochon-dong, Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju.

The impact of the collision pushed the patrol car forward, striking two police officers standing in front of it.

As a result of the accident, the two officers sustained injuries to their backs and necks and were transported to a hospital.

Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
