A fire broke out in a private ambulance traveling along a road in Wolnam-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju, at around 3:00 p.m. yesterday (August 21).

A woman in her 60s who was being transported in the ambulance and the driver evacuated on their own immediately after the fire started.

The fire was put out by self-extinguishing efforts, but the front part of the vehicle, including the driver and passenger seats, was burned.

Fire authorities believe the fire started in the front passenger seat and are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
