At around 5:00 a.m. today (August 22), a Porsche vehicle driven by a person in their 40s, A, who was traveling in the third lane on the road toward Pangyo near the Sanbon Interchange on the Seoul Ring Expressway in Sanbon-dong, Gunpo-si, Gyeonggi Province, collided with a Starex van traveling ahead.

After the impact, A's vehicle bounced off and came to a stop after hitting the median barrier.

The accident resulted in eight injuries, including the driver of the Starex van, a person in their 50s, B, who were all transported to the hospital.

Among them, one person sustained a laceration to the head and was classified as severely injured, though their life is reportedly not in danger.

The Starex van was headed to a nearby construction site, and it was confirmed that a total of 10 people were on board.

Driver A sustained no significant injuries.

No traffic violations, such as driving under the influence, were found for driver A.

Police believe the accident started when A's vehicle slipped on the rain-slicked road and are currently investigating the exact details of the incident.
