Police Investigate Deaths of Two Brothers in Uijeongbu Amid Suspicions of Homicide

Police are investigating an incident in which a pair of brothers in their 40s and 50s were found dead at an apartment in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province.

According to police and fire authorities, a report was received at around 10:00 a.m. today regarding a person falling from a 15-story apartment building in Uijeongbu.

At the scene, a man in his 50s, identified as A, who lived on the 15th floor, was found having fallen and was transported to a hospital by 119 rescue workers, but ultimately died.

Authorities forcibly opened the front door to check A's residence.

Inside the room, A's younger brother in his 40s, identified as B, was found dead.

It was reported that there were signs of homicide on B's body, including stab wounds.

Police have determined that the two men had been living together in the apartment.

No signs of forced entry were found during the on-site forensic inspection, and no suicide note was recovered.

Police are investigating the motive and the exact circumstances of the incident by questioning surviving family members and neighbors.
