President Lee Jae-myung has welcomed the passage of a revision to the National Assembly Act aimed at shortening the fast-track legislative process, stating, "I am truly glad that things will now move quickly."

Today (August 21), President Lee shared a social media post by Democratic Party lawmaker Lee Hoon-ki, writing, "You have all worked hard, including lawmaker Lee Hoon-ki and members of the Democratic Party," and expressed his thoughts as such.

He added, "Along with the many citizens awaiting livelihood reforms such as housing measures and administrative reforms like recovering from the internal rebellion, I sincerely thank you."

Previously, the revision to the National Assembly Act—which shortens the review period for fast-track designated bills from the existing 330 days to 90 days—passed the National Assembly plenary session yesterday (August 20) led by the ruling party.
