The films "The Odyssey" and "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," which are currently leading the box office at No. 1 and No. 2, are expected to surpass 6 million and 8 million admissions, respectively, this weekend.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated ticketing computer network on the 21st, "The Odyssey" maintained its No. 1 spot at the box office by drawing 188,671 moviegoers nationwide on the 20th. Its cumulative audience has reached 5,778,187.

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" held onto the No. 2 spot at the box office by attracting 55,282 people on the same day. Its cumulative audience stands at 7,740,073.
"The Odyssey" is projected to cross the 6 million mark, and "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" the 8 million mark, this weekend. They could even surpass these milestones as early as today, Friday (the 21st).
In particular, "The Odyssey" boasts an unyielding box office run, having surpassed 750,000 in advance ticket sales. Meanwhile, the momentum of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" has slowed down somewhat as it enters its fourth week of release. Nevertheless, it has surpassed 110,000 in advance ticket sales.
Released a week apart, the two films are achieving meaningful results by driving a dual box office hit during the summer theater season.
