Mixed martial artist and television personality Choo Sung-hoon is temporarily pausing his broadcasting activities ahead of his final match as an active fighter.

Choo is set to compete in the mixed martial arts event "Black Combat 17," which will be held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul, on November 21. Having debuted in mixed martial arts in 2004, Choo plans to conclude his 22-year fighting career with this upcoming match.

The production team of the YouTube channel "The President is Crazy," on which Choo appears, announced through a notice on the 19th that "Choo is currently focusing on his training and preparing for his 'last fight.'"

The team added, "This content was filmed before he entered full-scale preparation. It holds special meaning because viewers can meet Choo, who decided to refrain from variety shows and broadcasting activities until his 'last fight' match. As we get to see Choo the entertainer preparing his final look as a fighter, the production team sincerely supports his challenge more than anyone else," and wished, "We hope he creates wonderful moments with a great match."

Previously, on the 11th, Choo announced the news of his retirement match through his personal YouTube channel, saying, "I have made up my mind to take on the final challenge of my life." He expressed his pride by stating, "I am not doing this for the subscribers, nor is it for my family. I am doing it for myself. I am doing it because I want to look cool as a man. While some around me ask why I bother having such a match, I am a martial arts fighter."

Choo, who is 51 years old this year, said, "I need to cut weight and there is a lot to prepare," while also asking for anticipation by adding, "I am most looking forward to seeing how well I can still move."

Meanwhile, Choo, a former judoka, transitioned to mixed martial arts in 2004 and has competed in K-1, the UFC, and ONE Championship.
