At around 5:30 a.m. today (the 21st), an ammonia gas leak occurred at a food factory near Seonyudo Station in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

No casualties have been reported so far from the incident.

Yeongdeungpo-gu issued an emergency alert, advising residents, "Foul odors may occur, so please turn off air conditioners and stay indoors," while also urging nearby vehicles to take detour routes.

Fire authorities have restricted access to the area and are carrying out safety measures, including venting residual gas.
