President Lee Jae-myung will preside over the Anti-Corruption Policy Council, the first of its kind under the current administration, this afternoon (August 21) at the Yeomingwan in the Blue House, with major cabinet ministers and heads of public institutions in attendance.

The Anti-Corruption Policy Council operates as a consultative body designed to go beyond individual ministries responding to separate corruption cases, reviewing anti-corruption policies at the pan-governmental level and discussing directions for improvement.

As President Lee particularly emphasizes that official discipline must not become lax entering the second year of his administration, he is expected to deliver a message urging high-ranking officials to make special efforts to eradicate corruption and root out irregularities.
