The NC Dinos snapped their losing streak on the very day they announced their decision to remain in their home base of Changwon.

In a home game against the Doosan Bears in the 2026 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League held at NC Park in Changwon today (August 20), NC secured a 5-4 victory thanks to Kwon Hee-dong's walk-off hit.

With this win, the seventh-place team broke its three-game skid and kept its slim hopes alive for the postseason.

NC took the lead in the bottom of the third inning when Kim Joo-won drove in Kim Hyeongjun, who had hit a double, with a single to right field.

In the fourth, with two outs and runners on first and third, Park Kun-woo scored on a double steal to make it 2-0.

Doosan tied the game 2-2 in the top of the sixth with consecutive RBI singles by Ahn Jae-seok and Park Chan-ho.

NC pulled ahead 4-2 in the bottom of the seventh capitalizing on an opponent error and an RBI single by Kwon Hee-dong, but Doosan leveled the score at 4-4 in the top of the ninth, also taking advantage of an error.

However, the enthusiastic cheers of Changwon fans propelled NC to victory.

In the bottom of the ninth with two outs and the bases loaded, Kwon Hee-dong delivered a precious single to left field to score the dramatic winning run.

NC starting pitcher Koo Chang-mo pitched well through six innings, allowing seven hits and two runs, but did not factor in the decision.
