The number of U.S. service members injured in the war since the United States launched attacks against Iran on February 28 has reached 757.

According to U.S. broadcaster CNN on the 19th local time, the U.S. Department of Defense updated its Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS) database, adding more than 50 injured U.S. service members.

Analyzing the Pentagon's statistics, CNN reported that 18 U.S. soldiers have been killed and 757 injured since the outbreak of the war with Iran.

This figure combines casualties from overseas operations in the DCAS and casualties from the war with Iran (operationally named "Operation Epic Fury" by the U.S.).

On July 7, the U.S. Department of Defense established a new overseas operations category in the DCAS targeting U.S. service members killed or wounded, though it did not specify the exact conflicts where the casualties occurred.

The Pentagon's latest casualty statistics update comes several weeks after media outlets and others raised suspicions that the number of casualties in the DCAS had decreased while the conflict between the U.S. and Iran had not fully ended.

Previously, U.S. media outlets raised suspicions that four fatalities and a dozen injuries had disappeared from the DCAS last month.

At the time, the U.S. Department of Defense explained via social media that it was a temporary data error.
