A man in his 90s has been indicted and brought to trial for murdering his wife in her 80s out of suspicion of infidelity.

The Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors Office announced on the 13th that it has indicted a man in his 90s, identified as A, on murder charges.

A is accused of strangling his wife in her 80s, identified as B, to death at an apartment in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, at around 10:30 a.m. on the 21st of last month.

B was immediately rushed to the hospital but died.

Right after the crime, A confessed to other family members over the phone, and the family reported him to the police.

According to reports, A stated during police questioning that he strangled his wife during an argument after suspecting her of having an affair.

The police emergency-arrested A and transferred him to the prosecution on the 28th of last month.
