A fire broke out in a large truck at the Nogosan Tunnel on the Seoul Metropolitan Area Ring Expressway heading toward Ilsan in Samsang-ri, Jangheung-myeon, Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, at 1:57 p.m. today (August 20).

It is reported that the fire started from the lower part of the vehicle.

As fire authorities rushed to extinguish the fire, three out of the four lanes were closed, causing a traffic congestion stretching about 7 km behind the scene.

No casualties have been reported so far.

Police plan to resume traffic on the blocked lanes as soon as the fire authorities finish extinguishing the fire.
