Prince Harry, the younger son of British King Charles III who stepped down from official royal duties and moved to the United States in 2020, is set to return to the UK after six years, according to the British daily The Telegraph.

Citing reports, Prince Harry, who has been living in California, plans to return to the UK later this month to reside there with his wife Meghan Markle, son Archie (7), and daughter Lilibet (5).

The family is scheduled to move to a private, non-royal residence on the outskirts of London, and Prince Harry's children have been enrolled to attend school in the UK.

It is reported that there are currently no plans for the couple to resume official royal duties.

Sources indicate they will maintain their residences in California and Portugal even after returning to the UK.

Meghan, Prince Harry's wife, also plans to continue running her lifestyle brand, "As Ever."

Sources said that while the couple has secured a home in the UK, it remains uncertain whether they will relocate to the country permanently.

King Charles III reportedly expressed joy upon hearing the news of Prince Harry's return on the 16th, noting that it would naturally create more opportunities to see his family.

However, King Charles III stated that the couple will maintain their private status without taking on official royal duties.

The Telegraph reported that there are no changes to the security level provided to Prince Harry and his wife.

After stepping back from royal duties, Prince Harry's official UK security detail was downgraded, leading him to repeatedly request its restoration on the grounds that he could not bring his family to the UK safely.

Upon relinquishing his working royal role, Prince Harry lost his "His Royal Highness" (HRH) style and eligibility for publicly funded security.

The family's return to the UK is seen as signaling a potential easing of tensions within the royal family.

After moving to the US, Prince Harry dealt blows to the royal family by airing familial rifts through media interviews and a memoir, but he has since expressed a desire to reconcile with his family and for his children to experience British life and culture.

Prince Harry has reportedly improved his relationship with his father, King Charles III, significantly through regular phone calls in recent months.

Last July, during a visit to the UK for the Invictus Games—an international sporting event for wounded veterans that he founded—he met with King Charles III and the Queen alongside his wife and children.

It was the first time Prince Harry had visited the UK accompanied by his wife and children since the late Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.
