Scottish Professional Football League club Celtic, featuring South Korean national football team player Yang Hyun-jun, secured a comfortable victory in the first leg of the 2026-2027 UEFA Champions League (UCL) playoff against LASK (Austria), bringing them within touching distance of the main tournament.

Celtic claimed a 3-0 clean-sheet victory in the first leg of the playoff held at Celtic Park in Glasgow, Scotland, on the 20th (Korean time).

Aiming for their fifth consecutive appearance in the UCL main tournament, Celtic can secure their ticket to the group stage even if they lose the away second leg by a margin of two goals or fewer on the 26th at 4:00 AM.

Yang Hyun-jun started in the home leg, tirelessly covering the pitch before being substituted for Sebastian Tounekti in the 32nd minute of the second half.

Celtic sealed the comfortable win thanks to an opening goal by Benjamin Nygren and a multi-goal performance from Camilo Duran across the first and second halves.

Duran scored the team's second goal in the 38th minute of the first half with a powerful volley, and added the clincher in the 22nd minute of the second half by calmly finishing after an exchange of passes with Nygren.

For LASK, it was a frustrating match as they found the back of the net twice, only for both goals to be disallowed for offside.
