The People Power Party (PPP) Central Ethics Committee is expected to hold a meeting at the central party headquarters in Yeouido this morning (August 20) to decide whether to discipline four non-mainstream incumbent lawmakers and determine the level of punishment.

Having already conducted a hearing process for the incumbent lawmakers during the ethics committee meeting on August 18, it is highly likely that the committee will finalize the disciplinary levels during this session.

Lawmaker Jin Jong-oh, who previously filed an objection requesting the disqualification of certain ethics committee members, plans to attend today's meeting to present his explanations in person.

Within and outside the party, projections are rising that any disciplinary decisions will reignite intra-party conflict in earnest.
